People might describe Candace as a kind, golden-hearted young woman who has the sweetest personality. She is gentle and selfless, optimistic and cheerful; Candace wishes nothing but everyone to be happy and healthy. She almost never seen without a smile plastering on her visage, and the gaze of her bright; sky-colored eyes would always radiate tenderness. She is often said to be the best shoulder to cry on, a good friend who would give a wise advice and do her best to be able to help her comrades even for the slightest. As a pyro user, Candace is weak against any water-related magic. It might also related to her personal trauma.
Her healing magic is a pain-transferal type of power, which actually means, Candace takes every pain her flames heal. The more wounds she heals, the more golden flames she burns, the more magic she uses; the more pain she will receive. Candace will say that she is fine, but once the pain gets way too excruciating, it will cause her to faint. If it has gotten too much, her condition could get even worse (trapped between life and death).
Candace does not like fighting, but if the situation urges her to, she would. Even so, Candace needs quite a distance to cast her magic spells (in case of offensive or defensive magic). She does not usually take any physical weapon with her whatsoever, so a close-ranged battle is a no-no to her.
She might masters her magic very well, but in contrary to her magical power, her physical strength is very low to none.
She also gets drained quite easily, resulting her not to be able to use her magic for too long.

✿. Autumn Tale
My mother said it was fall season when I was born,
but the ground was covered white in pure snow,
just like half of my hometown was.
Candace Evangeline Herschel was born on a breezy afternoon in one autumn season in Edrait, precisely in her home near the border of the green grass and the snowy land. Both her father and mother was a quite reputable magicians, brought together by fate within their time spent in the magic academy together, Candace was introduced to learn basic magic spells since a very young age. Inherited her mother's intelligence and her father's determination, Candace had no much difficulties in her way of learning magic, especially the fact that she is quite a fast learner.
Acknowledging their only daughter's potential in becoming a great magician, Candace's parents planned to send her to attend the magic academy once she came of age, much to her excitement. Since her childhood, Candace had always been a very considerate little girl. Her nature had always been kind and caring, hardworking and diligent. Candace was loved either by the adults of her parents' comrades and the children of her age.
Despite her parents being famous magicians, Candace's family lived in modestly. Her home was nothing but a rather medium to small-sized yet cozy house built close to the snowy land in the northwest of Edrait region. Night had always been colder, and Candace wished to warm her house a little bit more, which lead to her learning fire magic. Some of her friends used to mock her because they thought that fire is cruel and scary for it could burn everything, but Candace's magic was created to heal and spread warmth.
Some time later, Candace went overseas to tag along with her parents who were asked by the King to train the soldiers of the kingdom. To cross the ocean and enjoy the cold sea breeze was her dream since she was much younger. At the young age, Candace went to visit another region, where she stayed in one of her mother's acquaintances while her parents were working. During her stay, Candace learned how to do archery, even though her skill was still much far from being excellent back then. Despite had made a quite good friend with her mother's acquaintance, she unfortunately had to go back to her home several days after her parents back from their job. After bid the old lady goodbye, Candace and her parents went to cross the ocean once again.
And so, the bad thing happened in her life. An unexpected storm occurred, caused a great chaos and wrecked the ship. Unable to resist the wave with her fire magic, the three of them fell into the ocean.

Candace once believed in miracle, which later happened to bless her life. Months later, she was found alive in the seashore, but not with her parents. The loss of her family brought great anguish to the young Candace, and as the result of the accident, she grew an excessive fear and hatred towards the sea, the ocean, any source of water that could drown her alive.
After her parents' death, Candace lived alone in her house, now roomy and much colder, spending some time to soothe and calm herself. She was never the one to deny the fate, yet also never the one to forget old, precious memories; not to mention the ones involving her beloved, beloved family. The old lady, her mother's acquaintance, visited her quite often afterwards, went all the way overseas by herself only to make sure Candace lived well by herself despite the remaining sadness and misery. When the old lady asked her of what would she do, Candace said that she wanted to continue attending the academy, fortunately with her parents' legacy left.
And so, the golden fire had lit once again. Candace decided to continue her parents' dream. She decided to graduate and work all by herself, to prove to her parents that she is able to protect both herself and the whole world and refrain people from going through the same misfortune and hardships as she had. As for now, aside of her job as a soldier serving the Kingdom of Avigdor, Candace always visit people and asked if they need some help, she would be willing to do their favors sincerely.
